So my twin brother and I are hopefully getting tickets to this years massive Splendour In the Grass in Woodford!!! Bless my lovely brother for lending me the hefty amount for ticket+campingfee and we have popped the dosh onto my card and will be purchasing our tickets tomorrow!!!!!
We missed out on the Big Day Out this year (for our 21st!!!) so we are hoping that the divine universe will equal out our misfortune and offer us two tickets to Splendour :) We will have such a great time; Woodstock '69-style. The below picture will sum up our style for the few days (we will hopefully be camping in a car instead of a tent; after all it gets into the negative degrees in Winter) and we will probably be living off baked beans and hard liquor and dancing!
Oh how lovely it will be to go camping for the 4 days with my brother and other random friends out in the green country side.
In case you aren't from Australia, this festival is one of the biggest alternative music fests we have and cherish.
Here are the bands playing this year: The Strokes, The Pixies, Ben Harper, The Temper Trap, Florence and the Machines, Empire of the Sun, Scissor Sisters, Band of Horses, The Ting Tings, LCD Soundsystem, Angus & Julia Stone, Hot Chip, Wolfmother, Passion Pit, Midnight Juggernauts, Jonsi, Paul Kelly, Kate Nash, Laura Marling, Fat Freddys Drop, Lisa Mitchell, The Vines, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Broken Social Scene, Tame Impala, The Middle East, We Are Scientists, Foals, Philadelphia Grand Dury, Clare Bowdwich, Band of Skulls, Two Door Cinema Club, The Mess Hall, The Drums, Violent Soho, Miami Horror, School of Seven Bells, Last Dinosaurs, John Steel Singers, Oh Mercy, Tijuana Cartel, Gypsy and the Cat, Van She Tech and tonnes more!!!!!!!!
And on that note, I feel like watching Taking Woodstock.
Enjoy your day my lovelies.
(The ones in bold are the ones I particularly want to see and adore)
